DUTIES:                    

Assist Staff

Ability to work well with staff and supervisors

Work on cleaning, painting and maintenance programs

Any other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Facilities III

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma

Must be able to perform routine building cleaning duties, and related work as required

Have some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment

Ability to perform semi-skilled repair and maintenance tasks

Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions

Must have either:

  1. Six months experience in building cleaning and maintenance work;  OR
  2. Six months experience as a carpenter, plumber, electrician, painter, or any other related maintenance work;  OR
  3. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of the experience indicated in a) and/or b)

Greene County Civil Service Required

Benefits:                     

As per Greenville Paraprofessional Federation Contract

Starting at $21.37 per hour (salary commensurate with experience per GPF CBA)

Effective Date:            July 2025

                                     12 Month Position, 8 Hour Shift - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Administrative Assistant (HELP Program)

Position:         

Administrative Assistant (HELP program)

This is a Non-competitive appointment under the Hiring Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program. Appointment will mature into a permanent, non-competitive position, upon the successful completion of a 52-week probationary period.  Once the State Civil Service Commission ends the HELP Program and approves the deletion of this HELP Program title from the Greene County Civil Service Rules, the title will revert to a Competitive title and the incumbent will gain Competitive status without further testing.                                                                

Qualifications:            

A. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of full-time office management, administrative or supervisory experience in the field of accounting, public or business administration, financial management or personnel administration/human resource management; OR 

B. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or technical or business institute or one recognized by the NYS Education Department with an Associate Degree and three (3) years of experience as described in A above; OR  

C. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of experience as described in A above.  Experience in a confidential office setting, preferred.

Typical Work Activities: (Illustrative Only)

Manages day-to-day operations within the office, maintaining confidential records (ie: student special education records), coordinating meetings, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. This position requires strong communication, organizational, typing, and computer skills, and involves frequent collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies to support equitable access and services for all students.

                                     Starting at $22.69 per hour (salary commensurate with experience per GPF CBA)

Effective Date:           July 2025 (10 months following school calendar plus 25 days in summer [8 hours per day])
