Middle school is a time of immense transition, self-discovery, and social-emotional growth. Are you an educator who loves the energy, potential, and uniqueness of middle schoolers? Greenville Middle School is seeking a dedicated, relationship-driven Special Education Teacher (1.0 FTE) to lead our Self-Contained 15:1:1 classroom. We want someone who can build a tight-knit classroom community that balances academic progress with social-emotional development and functional life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver modified, highly engaging instruction across core subject areas tailored to the unique learning profiles of students in a 15:1:1 middle school classroom.

  • Foster a strong class culture centered on restorative practices, social-emotional learning (SEL), and peer collaboration.

  • Write, implement, and track progress on IEP goals, with professional and empathetic advocacy.

  • Facilitate transitions to ensure your students feel connected to the broader Greenville Middle School community.

Please note that specific teaching assignments within the Special Education Department are subject to change based on student needs, enrollment, and district requirements.
